"A Sense of Place"

Town Planning and Design, LLC was founded on November 1, 2007.  The firm was created as an extension of Emil R. Moncivais' distinguished career in city planning with some of the largest cities in Texas including El Paso, Fort Worth, and San Antonio.  A concern for history, as well as cultural and urban design, is readily apparent from his tenure as Planning Director for Fort Worth and San Antonio.  One can view the cities themselves to see examples of projects and programs he has developed with the community to provide pedestrian environments for use by all citizens.  A passion for creating interesting and sustainable areas where citizens can live, work, and play was cultivated throughout his career and now provides the foundation for the services Town Planning and Design, LLC can provide.

Emil R. Moncivais is one of only three Fellows of the American Institute of Certified Planners (registration#050683) in San Antonio.  In addition to this distinguished title, Emil is also a Texas Registered Architect (registration #10367), a Texas Registered Interior Designer (registration #1955), and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute and Congress For The New Urbanism.
